CENTRE DESCRIPTION
The NSE Centre for Behavioral Science is the first of its kind in a management institution in India. The CBS aims to build a cross-disciplinary platform for conducting and disseminating research grounded in neuroscientific and behavioral knowledge across diverse fields of management including but not limited to finance, economics, marketing, organizational behavior and human resource management. The CBS Laboratory is equipped with a 32-Channel EEG system, eye-tracker, and galvanic skin response. The laboratory is designed to explore the applicability of behavioral science theories in marketing, finance, and economics for generating and disseminating ideas around these themes. The Centre conducts experiments and research to generate meaningful decision- making insights for industries, as well as to help shape better policies and improve services.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Assist faculties with research projects & experiments in sync with the required skillset.
Administration of recruitment of participants for experiments if required.
Organizational support for running experiments.
Administrative support for the centre viz. Conference organization, webinar and seminar support; social media engagement and updates.
Mandatory conceptualization and drafting of at least one research paper in the afore mentioned areas for publication in coordination with faculties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants who have completed a Master’s Degree from a recognized Institute or University in an analytical or human insights-focused field including, but not limited to Cognitive Neuroscience, Behavioral Finance, Cognitive Science, Marketing, Neuro Marketing, Behavioral Economics, etc. would be preferred. Please note that undergraduate applications will not be entertained.
REQUIRED SKILLSET
● An understanding of finance/OB/Economics/Consumer Behavior/Psychology/Data Analytics or curiosity to learn. (Preferred)
● Well equipped with the E-Prime Stimulus presentation software. (Preferred)
● EEG & Eye Tracker Data Acquisition and Analysis. (Preferred)
● Working knowledge of any programming language MATLAB/Python/R. (Mandatory)
● Well-versed with statistical tool/software. (SPSS/R) (Mandatory)
*Please note that this position is highly suited for those individuals who are interested in pursuing a PhD in their related field.
APPOINTMENT TENURE:
The appointment is initially for 6 / 12 months with a potential for extension based on performance.
LOCATION:
Indian Institute of Management, New Campus, Vastrapur, Ahmedabad. Please note that this position would require applicants from outside Ahmedabad to relocate to the city during the duration of their tenure. Selected candidates are expected to arrange for accommodation outside the Institute’s campus.
