As a Research Analyst, you are responsible for providing project support and assistance in achieving specific project deliverables. Project support includes sourcing and assimilating quantitative and qualitative data, validating assumptions and provide meaningful insights or convey findings in a succinct manner. GSMA Intelligence is the definitive source of mobile industry data, insights, forecasts and research, used around the world. Our insights cover every mobile operator, network and MVNO in every country worldwide – from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe. Our team of analysts and experts use their deep understanding of markets, technologies and regulatory issues to identify and understand key trends in the telecoms and wider digital ecosystems, and form captivating analysis on the topics shaping the telco industry.In data, we collect information on key metrics and indicators for global Mobile operators and a selected list of Fixed and Pay TV operators. The list of metrics encompasses everything from performance indicators to networks update to organisational structural updates and more. The Industry Update feeds, also part of data vertical, is a news service offered by GSMA Intelligence where our analysts curates the daily news from industry and identify the resulting trends shaping the future of Industry.In research, GSMA Intelligence publishes more than 100 reports per year across a range of topics, such as 5G and network transformation, new telco technologies (e.g. eSIM, edge, private networks), IoT and B2B opportunities, telecoms and media convergence, spectrum, the evolution of the digital consumer, and the role of mobile technology to drive socioeconomic developments. In addition, we also produce regional and country deep dive analyses (such as our Mobile Economy Series and Regions in Focus Series).

Your Role Will Include
Conducting exhaustive research (secondary and primary) on your assigned topic to maintain an up-to-date offering.Leveraging a variety of sources to facilitate the accurate collation and timely delivery of the research results. You will validate the data obtained and analyse it to extract insights and identify patterns (qualitative as well as qualitative).You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of your output, with support and guidance from your team leads.You will support and contribute in research publications (blogs, spotlights, deep dives) that are related to your topic of work.You will work closely in collaboration with the team lead/manager, proactively communicating progress updates on your assigned products, enabling the timely review of your data outputs.
You will work with the team lead/manager on ad-hoc requests from the global team members and external stakeholders. You will be working to continuously enhance and develop your industry knowledge and support the development and revision in data products.You will be acting as point-of-contact for your assigned product and will be responsible for providing correct and timely information to wider stakeholders.
About You
You have a knack for numbers with strong strategic and analytical skills.You have demonstrated capabilities in handling data effectively synthesizing the analytics/data to form a complete and cohesive picture.You must be highly motivated, proactive, organized and can manage concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracyYou have a passion for the rapidly evolving telecom industry and have good knowledge of the key recent developments.You have excellent knowledge of MS Excel and other data tools such as tableau, SQL, R, and so on. You demonstrate excellent interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills
