Eligibility Criteria for ISRO URSC Recruitment 2024

Age Limit for ISRO URSC Recruitment 2024

Different posts require applicants to be between the ages of 18 and 35 years. Those who are eligible should carefully read the category and age limit details before applying.

How to Apply for ISRO Recruitment 2024

ISRO is strictly accepting applications via online mode only. NO HARD COPY should be sent. These posts are temporary in nature but are expected to continue. Applicants must be familiar with the following guidelines for submitting an online application.

Steps for Filling Out an Online Application

  1. Applicants should visit career page on ISRO official website and register themselves.
  2. Upon on-line registration, applicants will be provided with an on-line Registration Number, which should be carefully preserved for future reference.
  3. Fill all the necessary details and pay the requisite application fee and take print out for future reference.
  4. While filling up on-line application, it is advisable to keep the below documents readily available to upload the same.

Required Documents for Uploading

  • Recent colour passport size photograph (Size of 50 Kb to 100 Kb).
  • Signature (Maximum Size of 50 Kb to 100 Kb).
  • All the required Essential Qualification certificates and Experience certificates.
  • SC/ST/Disability/ Ex-servicemen certificate as applicable for full refund of processing Fee (any one
    certificate).

NOTE: Candidates who are employed under Central/State Government, Public Sector Undertakings, Autonomous Bodies etc. have to submit ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the employer concerned, at the time of Skill Test or as and when called for.

Application Fee for ISRO Recruitment 2024

A non-refundable application fee of ₹250/- has to be paid for Scientist/Engineer – SC / Technical Assistant / Scientific Assistant. Other than this, all candidates have to uniformly pay ₹750/- per application as Processing fee. However, the Processing fee will be refunded only to candidates who appear in the written test.

The fee can be paid using any one of the following modes:

  • Internet Banking
  • Unified Payment Interface (UPI)
  • Debit Cards (Domestic)

There is refund in full for candidates who are exempted from payment of Application Fee (women, SC/ST/ PwBD, Ex-Servicemen).

NOTE: Please note that refund will not be considered if a candidate fails to appear for the Written Test/ Skill Test / Interview.

Salary and Pay Level for ISRO Recruitment 2024

The selected candidates will receive handsome amount of salary along with HRA. In addition to the salary specified, ISRO provides free transport, advances for purchase of computer, construction of house, Leave Travel Concession, Group Insurance, medical insurance, etc., and extends subsidized canteen facilities subject to certain terms and conditions. Mode of Selection for ISRO Recruitment 2024

The eligible applicants has to go through following stages for getting selection in ISRO. There are three levels that a candidate must successfully pass.

  1. Initial Screening (based on the academic credentials)
  2. Written Test
  3. Skill Test / Interview

Candidates who meet the performance criteria established by ISRO in the Written Test and taking into account the number of available positions will be required to participate in a Skill Test or Interview.

Exam Pattern for ISRO Recruitment 2024

Applicants should thoroughly check the exam pattern, interview criteria and cut off percentage to score better. The exam paper consists of two parts : Part A and Part B. Total marks of the paper is 100 marks and total duration is 120 minutes for Scientist Engineer post. The written exam is of qualifying nature and includes MCQs only. The following information applies to M.Sc. students who are eligible for different positions.

Interview Criteria

In case of Scientist/Engineer-SC, candidates will be short-listed for interview in 1:5 ratio with a minimum of 10 candidates based on their performance in Written Test.

In case of Scientific Assistant, candidates will be shortlisted for Skill Test in 1:5 ratio with a minimum of 10 candidates based on the performance in the Written Test.

Passing Marks/Percentage to qualify ISRO URSC 2024 Exam

The candidates should score at least 50% each in Part A & B. For Interview, candidate should score 50 marks out of 100 marks in order to get the Scientists/Engineer post. The aggregate percentage to qualify all the stages are 60%.

For Scientific Assistant post, minimum marks to qualify for selection is given below.
