Our Work
At The Antara Foundation (TAF), we work to strengthen the last-mile delivery of public health solutions. Our core belief is that maternal and child health depends on access to timely and quality care. We work with and through the government system, helping build the capacity of frontline health workers, using data for better implementation and decision-making, and mobilizing communities to seek better health outcomes. Our solutions are designed to work at scale, are sustainable, and are simple to implement on the ground. We are a young, energetic, and passionate team, working across 8 districts, 39 blocks, and 5,700 villages, with 8,800 FLWs, and reaching 379,000 women and 650,000 children in central India. Over the next few years, we see ourselves spreading across multiple locations in India to implement our solutions and to create an impact at scale.
Program Officer will be responsible for running our program end-to-end in 1 block (covering 150-200 villages, pop: >1.5 lakhs). S/he will be the leader of their area and expected to work under the principle of ‘freedom with responsibility’. Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement our interventions end-to-end in an integrated manner
- Independently plan activities, troubleshoot issues and conduct extensive field visits on a daily basis to different areas of the block; Monitor the program routinely
- Continuously ideate and analyse data to improve program delivery and introduce new initiatives
- Maintain strong relationships and work closely with village/block/district government officials to ensure quality delivery and sustainability of the program
- Develop trust and bonds with frontline workers and the community to ensure quality delivery and sustainability of the program
- Contribute to overall organizational needs and vision outside the field and collaborate with team members from different locations/departments
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s and or master’s degree in any relevant course
Experience:
- We seek someone with 2-5 years of work experience in other development organizations, corporate organizations, or management consulting. This person should be adept in handling large volumes of data, managing diverse stakeholders and leading initiatives on their own.
